春节之所以热闹，烟花爆竹的功劳可不小。古时候人们放爆竹是为了驱邪祈福，祈求来年平安如意。而今天灿烂的烟花则为节日的夜空增添了绚丽的色彩。
家乡的春节热闹非凡，它是多彩的，是红火的，是温暖的。那里有亲人美好的祝愿，那里有我们深深的牵挂与留恋!

我的家乡在潮汕揭阳。那里每到除夕之前家家户户都要大清扫一遍，把家里的椅子呀、床呀、等等家具搬到门口洗一遍然后到太阳底下晒。铁门都要图上新的一层油漆。家家的子女不管什么都要从外地赶回家过年团聚。
到了除夕时，人们早早地洗好了澡穿了新衣服团聚在一起吃团圆饭。这里面鸡鸭是不可少的，菜都很丰盛，其中小孩最喜欢吃鸡柳了。吃完饭后男孩子们都各自玩去了。到比较宽大的地方放鞭炮去了，女孩子玩烟花。
正月初一，大人穿着新衣服去亲戚家拜年去了，小孩也跟着去了。每到这时候小孩子们都很开心，因为都能领到大红包。老人呆在家里等着其他亲戚来拜年。大街上都是鞭炮声和小孩的欢呼。
正月初八是老人最开心的日子了。每到初八初九家家的男人都要去迎财神，男人抬财神，13、14岁的小男孩那彩旗，后面一堆锣鼓声迎来，走到每个街道去报平安。正是这样初八初九两天都会有一个戏团的人来为每个人演潮剧，这种老人最爱看了。戏团后总会有一堆卖烧烤和零食等等的来摆摊，小孩子们都会向大人们要钱买弯曲或零食吃。
到了初十，大人们都要回去工作了，只留下老人和小孩。就这样，热闹的春节结束了。
